These paintings are tiny little snapshots of magical creatures right after being told “you have a terrible smile”. Who does that?!
Imagine smiling and then being told, “you have a terrible smile”. I thought that was maybe one of the meanest things anyone could ever say. Imagine doing your best to make it through the day and then being told, “nah, that’s not good enough”. Ugh. Not cool. Just a little snapshot of the low moment, but what follows the low moment is up to us and if we choose to go high and smile even bigger, laugh even louder…well, the smile haters out there seem to lose some of their sting and sometimes they disappear all together.
